Emerald Idol Recovered From Abandoned Quarry

Three friends, facing financial difficulties, stole a 2.5-foot emerald idol from a temple in Chengalpet district. They were apprehended by police near an abandoned quarry where they had hidden the idol. The accused, identified as G Manikandan, E Elavazhakan, and D Jayapal, were arrested on Sunday. Investigators used CCTV footage from their reconnaissance to track their movements, leading to the recovery of the idol and other stolen silver articles.

तीन दोस्तों ने पैसों की तंगी के चलते चेंगलपेट जिले के एक मंदिर से ढाई फुट की पन्ना की मूर्ति चुरा ली। पुलिस ने उन्हें एक सुनसान खदान के पास पकड़ा, जहाँ उन्होंने मूर्ति छिपा रखी थी। रविवार को जी मणिकंदन, ई इलावझगन और डी जयपाल नाम के आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया। पुलिस ने उनकी रेकी के सीसीटीवी फुटेज का इस्तेमाल कर उन्हें पकड़ा, जिससे मूर्ति और चांदी की अन्य चीजें बरामद हुईं।
