Sports Ministry Caps National Championship Funding At Rs 30 Lakh

The Sports Ministry has set funding limits for National Sports Federations (NSFs) organizing National Championships. High-priority sports can receive up to Rs. 30 lakh, while priority and general disciplines are capped at Rs. 25 lakh. The actual grant amount depends on the participation of affiliated units, with full funding requiring 75% to 100% participation. Reduced funding is provided for 50-75% participation, and no grant is given if fewer than 50% of units participate. For federations supporting persons with disabilities, the maximum assistance is Rs. 20 lakh per discipline.

खेल मंत्रालय ने राष्ट्रीय चैंपियनशिप आयोजित करने वाले राष्ट्रीय खेल महासंघों (NSFs) के लिए फंडिंग की सीमा तय कर दी है। उच्च प्राथमिकता वाले खेलों को 30 लाख रुपये तक मिल सकते हैं, जबकि प्राथमिकता और सामान्य विषयों के लिए 25 लाख रुपये की सीमा है। वास्तविक अनुदान राशि संबद्ध इकाइयों की भागीदारी पर निर्भर करती है, जिसमें 75% से 100% भागीदारी के लिए पूरा फंड मिलेगा। 50-75% भागीदारी के लिए कम फंड दिया जाएगा, और यदि 50% से कम इकाइयों ने भाग लिया तो कोई अनुदान नहीं मिलेगा। दिव्यांगजनों का समर्थन करने वाले महासंघों के लिए, प्रति विषय अधिकतम सहायता 20 लाख रुपये है।
