This growth, part of the "One District-One Medical College" initiative, has also seen MBBS seats rise from 4,690 to over 13,600. Adityanath highlighted that this expansion improves access to quality treatment and creates more opportunities for aspiring doctors.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने राज्य के मेडिकल शिक्षा के ढांचे में एक बड़ी बढ़ोतरी की घोषणा की है, जिसमें 2017 में 36 मेडिकल कॉलेजों की संख्या बढ़कर 85 हो गई है। "एक जिला-एक मेडिकल कॉलेज" पहल के तहत हुई इस वृद्धि से MBBS सीटों की संख्या भी 4,690 से बढ़कर 13,600 से अधिक हो गई है। आदित्यनाथ ने बताया कि इस विस्तार से अच्छी गुणवत्ता वाले इलाज तक पहुंच बेहतर हुई है और डॉक्टर बनने की चाह रखने वाले युवाओं के लिए अधिक अवसर पैदा हुए हैं।
