Two Iranian sisters, Soolmaz and Zeinab Mohammadi, have successfully completed their Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Andhra University in Visakhapatnam. They faced significant financial hardship due to disrupted support from their families amid the war in Iran, struggling with rent and their children's school fees. The Visakhapatnam district administration provided assistance of ₹1 lakh after the sisters sought help in April 2026. Despite these challenges and worries about their families back home, they persevered and received their degrees, showcasing remarkable determination.
