Banking to become more dependable in next decade: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the next decade will focus on making India's banking system more efficient and dependable, emphasizing the critical role of cybersecurity. He highlighted the need for robust digital infrastructure, modern data centers, and skilled human resources to counter evolving cyber threats. Modi also recalled his government's success in expanding banking access through Jan Dhan accounts and ending the era of 'phone banking'. He asserted that India's banking sector is now among the strongest globally, with digital banking benefiting every household.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि अगले दशक में भारत की बैंकिंग व्यवस्था को और ज़्यादा कुशल और भरोसेमंद बनाने पर ज़ोर दिया जाएगा, जिसमें साइबर सुरक्षा की अहम भूमिका होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि बदलते साइबर खतरों से निपटने के लिए मज़बूत डिजिटल इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर, आधुनिक डेटा सेंटर और कुशल मानव संसाधन की ज़रूरत है। मोदी ने जन धन खातों के ज़रिए बैंकिंग पहुंच बढ़ाने और 'फ़ोन बैंकिंग' के दौर को ख़त्म करने में अपनी सरकार की सफलता को भी याद किया। उन्होंने ज़ोर देकर कहा कि भारत का बैंकिंग क्षेत्र अब दुनिया के सबसे मज़बूत क्षेत्रों में से एक है, और डिजिटल बैंकिंग का फ़ायदा हर घर तक पहुँच रहा है।
