Residents of Tiriya village in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, are proactively combating forest fires. Members of the gram sabha patrol the forests on bicycles, working in shifts to spot and extinguish flames. They also maintain firelines and coordinate efforts with the Forest Department. छत्तीसगढ़ के बस्तर में तिरिया गांव के लोग जंगल की आग से खुद ही लड़ रहे हैं। गांव के लोग साइकिल से गश्त लगाते हैं और बारी-बारी से आग बुझाने का काम करते हैं। वे फायरलाइन भी बनाते हैं और वन विभाग के साथ मिलकर काम करते हैं। यह पहल गर्मी में लगने वाली आग से जंगल को बचाने और पर्यावरण की सुरक्षा के लिए है।
