Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Aadhav Arjuna inaugurated the 51st Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship in Vijayawada on Monday. The eight-day event, running from September 28 to October 4, features 54 teams with over 640 young players competing. This championship marks the return of the national-level competition to Andhra Pradesh after 22 years. Organised jointly by the Basketball Federation of India and the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh, the event aims to nurture grassroots talent.

तमिलनाडु के खेल मंत्री आदव अर्जुन ने सोमवार को विजयवाड़ा में 51वीं सब-जूनियर नेशनल बास्केटबॉल चैंपियनशिप का उद्घाटन किया। 28 सितंबर से 4 अक्टूबर तक चलने वाले आठ दिवसीय इस आयोजन में 54 टीमों के 640 से अधिक युवा खिलाड़ी भाग ले रहे हैं। यह चैंपियनशिप 22 साल बाद आंध्र प्रदेश में राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रतियोगिता की वापसी का प्रतीक है। बास्केटबॉल फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया और स्पोर्ट्स अथॉरिटी ऑफ आंध्र प्रदेश द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य जमीनी स्तर की प्रतिभाओं को बढ़ावा देना है।
