CPI(M) general secretary M.A. Baby has condemned the removal of activist Sonam Wangchuk from the Jantar Mantar protest site. Baby criticised the Modi government's 'authoritarian attitude', stating that silencing dissent is not a substitute for accountability. Wangchuk, a prominent climate activist, was reportedly removed by police from the protest area where he was on a hunger strike.
