Ghaziabad's Integrated Traffic Management System to Expand to 14 More Junctions

Ghaziabad's integrated traffic management system (ITMS) is expanding to include 14 new junctions, enhancing its network beyond the initial 57 locations. Key areas like Lal Kuan, Crossings Republik, and Ghanta Ghar will soon be monitored by ITMS cameras. This expansion aims to improve traffic flow and also assist in monitoring pollution levels during winter months. The project, initially funded under the Smart City programme, has already led to the issuance of over 5.7 lakh e-challans for various traffic violations, generating significant fines.

गाजियाबाद का इंटीग्रेटेड ट्रैफिक मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम (ITMS) 14 नए चौराहों को शामिल करने के लिए विस्तारित हो रहा है, जिससे इसका नेटवर्क शुरुआती 57 स्थानों से आगे बढ़ जाएगा। लाल कुआं, क्रॉसिंग रिपब्लिक और घंटा घर जैसे प्रमुख क्षेत्रों की जल्द ही ITMS कैमरों द्वारा निगरानी की जाएगी। इस विस्तार का उद्देश्य यातायात प्रवाह को बेहतर बनाना और सर्दियों के महीनों के दौरान प्रदूषण के स्तर की निगरानी में सहायता करना भी है। स्मार्ट सिटी कार्यक्रम के तहत शुरू में वित्त पोषित इस परियोजना ने पहले ही विभिन्न यातायात उल्लंघनों के लिए 5.7 लाख से अधिक ई-चालान जारी किए हैं, जिससे महत्वपूर्ण जुर्माना उत्पन्न हुआ है।
