Bacteria Found in Cocktail; Food Safety Dept. Files Case Against Kannur Outlet

Kerala's Food Safety department has filed a case against a popular juice outlet in Kannur after laboratory tests revealed unsafe bacteria in a cocktail. The action followed an inspection on September 23, after several people, including children, reported falling ill with vomiting and diarrhoea on September 21. Samples collected from the outlet were sent for analysis, which confirmed the presence of harmful bacteria. The department has received 55 complaints and included provision for compensation for affected individuals. The outlet can resume operations after addressing identified deficiencies.

केरल के फूड सेफ्टी विभाग ने कन्नूर के एक लोकप्रिय जूस आउटलेट के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है। लैब टेस्ट में कॉकटेल में असुरक्षित बैक्टीरिया पाए गए थे। यह कार्रवाई 23 सितंबर को निरीक्षण के बाद हुई। इससे पहले 21 सितंबर को कई लोगों, जिनमें बच्चे भी शामिल थे, ने उल्टी और दस्त की शिकायत की थी। आउटलेट से लिए गए सैंपल जांच के लिए भेजे गए थे, जिसमें हानिकारक बैक्टीरिया की पुष्टि हुई। विभाग को 55 शिकायतें मिली हैं और प्रभावित लोगों के लिए मुआवजे का प्रावधान भी शामिल है। पाई गई कमियों को दूर करने के बाद आउटलेट को संचालन फिर से शुरू करने की अनुमति दी जाएगी।
