Farmers Block Rail Tracks Near Hisar, Halt Trains Over Pathway Demand

Times of India · india

Protesting farmers in Hisar blocked rail tracks at Jakhal railway station on Friday evening, bringing two trains to a halt for nearly an hour. The demonstration was a response to the failure of a 15-member committee to secure a concrete assurance regarding a long-pending demand for reopening a temporary pathway. The Delhi-Sri Ganganagar Intercity Express and the Hisar-Ludhiana Passenger train were significantly delayed.
