Foreign Guest Reporting Simplified, Fields Cut Significantly

The central government has significantly simplified the reporting process for foreign guests staying in hotels. The number of mandatory fields required for reporting has been reduced from approximately 39 to 17. This move is expected to substantially decrease paperwork and save time for hotels and other accommodation providers. The Hotel Association of Jaipur had previously advocated for this simplification, highlighting the burden of collecting non-essential details. The revised process will particularly benefit establishments that host a large number of international visitors, streamlining compliance requirements.
