Kerala Sanctions ₹4.25 Crore for Road Safety on Key Sabarimala Routes

The Kerala government has sanctioned ₹4.25 crore for urgent road safety works on key routes leading to the Sabarimala pilgrimage site in Pathanamthitta district. This allocation from the Kerala Road Safety Authority fund aims to improve infrastructure and implement safety measures on accident-prone stretches. The works are intended to be completed before the annual pilgrimage season begins, addressing a long-standing demand due to increasing pilgrim numbers. A total of 60 projects across the state have received administrative sanction for Sabarimala-related road safety, amounting to ₹13.1992 crore.
