Karnataka Forms SIT For Insurance Fraud Claims

Karnataka has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe fraudulent insurance claims, following directions from the Supreme Court. The Home Department issued the order on September 22, 2026. Headed by an Inspector General of Police, the SIT will investigate all complaints transferred by the DG&IGP from insurance companies. Declared a police station under the BNSS, 2023, the team will submit investigation reports to the government without delay, ensuring speedy action against.
