Twins Sura and Surjit Singh Rajkumar from Manipur's Bishnupur district achieved a significant victory, winning the Brahmaputra Volleyball League Interstate Championship in Guwahati. Their team, YPC Ishok Village, defeated Assam 3-1 in the final. This achievement comes despite the ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur, which has severely restricted movement and opportunities for young athletes. Coach Beda Konsam established a grassroots program inspired by a similar model in Assam, aiming to provide a pathway for aspiring players.
