Owaisi, Congress Slam Demography Data Demand

Congress and AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi have alleged that a central government Demography Commission is seeking religion-based data on births and property transactions from states. Owaisi stated the commission is asking about vehicle purchases and land ownership by religious groups. Congress described the committee's agenda as "clearly dangerous and malicious." The High-Level Committee on Demographic Changes was formed, to study demographic shifts and provide policy suggestions.
