The University of Calicut is implementing stricter enforcement of rules across its campuses and affiliated colleges to prevent untoward incidents. A recent circular prohibits the possession, storage, or use of explosives, inflammable substances, or hazardous materials, with legal and disciplinary action threatened for violations. Students are also barred from allowing unauthorized occupants in hostels and must refrain from activities damaging campus aesthetics or environmental quality.
