Delhi HC Slams SSC for 3-Year Exam Ban Without Hearing Candidate
Hindustan Times · india
The Delhi High Court has strongly criticised the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for imposing a three-year ban on a candidate without providing him a chance to present his case. The court observed that such a career-ending decision, especially at the start of a professional journey, is "almost akin to civil death." The candidate had been accused of assisting another student during the 2016 Multi-Tasking Staff Examination. The court dismissed the SSC's petition, stating that the commission failed to follow the principles of natural justice by not issuing a show-cause notice.
