Delhi Govt To Enforce PUC Certificates From October

The Delhi government will begin an enforcement drive on October 1 to check for valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates on vehicles. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the initiative, stating it is part of broader efforts to reduce air pollution in the national capital. The government also aims to enhance the effectiveness and reliability of PUC centres through technological integration. Additionally, the city has inaugurated its largest Automated Testing Station in Burari, capable of testing numerous heavy and light motor vehicles annually for various parameters including emissions.

दिल्ली सरकार 1 अक्टूबर से गाड़ियों पर वैध पॉल्यूशन अंडर कंट्रोल (पीयूसी) सर्टिफिकेट की जांच के लिए एक प्रवर्तन अभियान शुरू करेगी। मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने इस पहल की घोषणा करते हुए कहा कि यह राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में वायु प्रदूषण को कम करने के व्यापक प्रयासों का हिस्सा है। सरकार का लक्ष्य तकनीकी एकीकरण के माध्यम से पीयूसी केंद्रों की प्रभावशीलता और विश्वसनीयता को भी बढ़ाना है। इसके अतिरिक्त, शहर ने बुराड़ी में अपना सबसे बड़ा ऑटोमेटेड टेस्टिंग स्टेशन खोला है, जो सालाना कई भारी और हल्के मोटर वाहनों के उत्सर्जन सहित विभिन्न मापदंडों के लिए परीक्षण करने में सक्षम है।
