Ravindra Jadeja Jokes About Chief Selector Role; Rules Say No

The BCCI has invited applications for the new Chief Selector role following Ajit Agarkar's tenure. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja humorously commented on the BCCI's post asking about the application procedure. However, current BCCI rules prevent active cricketers from holding such positions. Candidates must have retired from all forms of cricket at least five years prior. Jadeja, still active in Test, ODI, and IPL cricket, is therefore ineligible to apply for the Chief Selector post.
