The Hindu · india
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India's investments in renewable energy over the past decade significantly softened the impact of the West Asia crisis. He noted that without these clean energy initiatives and infrastructure, the crisis's effect on India would have been far more severe than globally. Modi highlighted the dramatic decrease in solar power costs and India's ambition to reach 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. He also projected around $220 billion in investment opportunities within India's renewable energy sector by the end of the decade.
