Mussoorie Autumn Festival Returns After Years With Folk Music and Dance

The Mussoorie Autumn Festival has returned to the popular hill town after a hiatus of several years, commencing with a vibrant cultural roadshow. The event featured traditional folk music and dance performances from Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Haryana. Artistes in traditional attire paraded from Landour to Gandhi Chowk as part of the five-day celebration. The festival, inaugurated by Mussoorie Municipal Council chairperson Meera Saklani, will include sports events and cultural programmes daily. It is anticipated to significantly boost tourism in the region.

मसूरी शरद महोत्सव कई सालों के अंतराल के बाद लोकप्रिय पहाड़ी शहर में लौट आया है, जिसकी शुरुआत एक जीवंत सांस्कृतिक रोडशो से हुई। इस कार्यक्रम में उत्तराखंड, हिमाचल प्रदेश, जम्मू और कश्मीर, पंजाब और हरियाणा के पारंपरिक लोक संगीत और नृत्य प्रदर्शन शामिल थे। पांच दिवसीय उत्सव के हिस्से के रूप में कलाकार पारंपरिक वेशभूषा में लैंसडाउन से गांधी चौक तक निकले। मसूरी नगर पालिका परिषद की अध्यक्ष मीरा सकलानी द्वारा उद्घाटन किए गए इस उत्सव में प्रतिदिन खेल आयोजन और सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम होंगे। उम्मीद है कि इससे क्षेत्र में पर्यटन को काफी बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
