Security has been significantly heightened in New Delhi ahead of a planned protest at Jantar Mantar, with Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) now in effect. The Delhi Police have denied permission for the demonstration, which was scheduled to begin at 11 am and called by the All India Students' Association, Manoj Jha, and Prashant Bhushan. In response to the potential gathering of 3,000 to 4,000 people, 11 Delhi Metro stations have been closed, and traffic diversions are in place around the protest site.
