Supreme Court Allows Green Firecrackers in Delhi-NCR

The Supreme Court has given the green light for the use of green firecrackers in Delhi-NCR. Developed by the NEERI, these firecrackers produce up to 50% less pollution than traditional ones. NEERI has created four types, including those that release water vapor to absorb pollutants and others using less aluminum. These alternatives aim to reduce harmful gases like sulfur and nitrogen, offering a less polluting way to celebrate.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली-एनसीआर में ग्रीन पटाखे चलाने की इजाज़त दे दी है। NEERI ने इन्हें विकसित किया है, जो पारंपरिक पटाखों की तुलना में 50% तक कम प्रदूषण करते हैं। NEERI ने चार तरह के पटाखे बनाए हैं, जिनमें पानी की भाप छोड़ने वाले और कम एल्यूमीनियम वाले पटाखे शामिल हैं। इनका मकसद सल्फर और नाइट्रोजन जैसी हानिकारक गैसों को कम करना है, जिससे त्योहारों को कम प्रदूषण के साथ मनाया जा सके।
