During the struggle, the thought of his two-year-old son kept him fighting for survival. The incident began unexpectedly about two hours into the flight, with Machchhar being struck on the head while performing routine checks. He managed to unbuckle his seatbelt and attempt to protect himself, realizing he needed help. Machchhar is now recovering in the UAE after receiving medical care in Saudi Arabia.
