BIS Educates Trichy MSMEs on Quality Standards

BIS recently held an awareness meeting in Trichy for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Entrepreneurs were informed about Indian Standards, Quality Control Orders, and BIS licensing procedures. The session highlighted how obtaining a BIS license and ISI mark can boost product credibility and market acceptance, particularly for furniture, electronics, and engineering products. Officials also discussed opportunities on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), emphasizing the role of BIS certification in securing tenders and expanding market access for MSMEs.
