The Karnataka High Court has dismissed a petition challenging the State government's September 2025 order appointing an administrator to the Kannada Sahitya Parishat. Justice Suraj Govindaraj clarified that the administrator's continuation is subject to the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960, and any further extension requires statutory justification. The petition was filed by Mahesh Joshi, the former president, after the government appointed an administrator due to alleged non-cooperation with a financial mismanagement inquiry. The court did not rule on the inquiry's findings or Joshi's suspension.

कर्नाटक हाई कोर्ट ने कन्नड़ साहित्य परिषद में प्रशासक की नियुक्ति को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका खारिज कर दी है। यह नियुक्ति राज्य सरकार ने सितंबर 2025 में की थी। जस्टिस सूरज गोविंदराज ने साफ किया कि प्रशासक का कार्यकाल कर्नाटक सोसायटीज रजिस्ट्रेशन एक्ट, 1960 के तहत होगा और आगे कोई भी विस्तार कानूनी आधार पर ही होगा। यह याचिका महेश जोशी, जो पहले अध्यक्ष थे, ने दायर की थी। सरकार ने वित्तीय कुप्रबंधन की जांच में कथित असहयोग के कारण प्रशासक नियुक्त किया था। कोर्ट ने जांच के नतीजों या जोशी के निलंबन पर कोई फैसला नहीं सुनाया।
