Australia's cyber security agency has warned that artificial intelligence poses an unprecedented threat, as foreign governments are using it to hack critical infrastructure and computer networks. While AI offers significant benefits, it is also enabling criminals and state-sponsored hackers to launch attacks at a greater scale than ever before. The Australian Signals Directorate reported a stark increase in cyber security incidents, issuing over 4,400 warnings in the past year, an 80 percent rise.
