Residents of Ward 60 in Meerut, India, resorted to an unusual protest to highlight their ongoing struggle with a growing monkey menace. Frustrated by two months of escalating problems and a lack of official action, locals donned monkey masks and mimicked monkey behavior. They marched from Commissioner Square to the Collectorate to submit a memorandum to the District Magistrate. The residents reported that monkey troops in areas like Phoolbag and Nehru Nagar are causing significant disruption and posing a safety risk, especially to schoolchildren.

भारत के मेरठ में वार्ड 60 के निवासियों ने बंदरों के बढ़ते आतंक से अपनी लगातार लड़ाई को उजागर करने के लिए एक असामान्य विरोध का सहारा लिया। दो महीने से बढ़ती समस्याओं और आधिकारिक कार्रवाई की कमी से निराश, स्थानीय लोगों ने बंदरों के मुखौटे पहने और बंदरों जैसा व्यवहार किया। उन्होंने जिला मजिस्ट्रेट को ज्ञापन सौंपने के लिए कमिश्नर स्क्वायर से कलेक्ट्रेट तक मार्च किया। निवासियों ने बताया कि फूलबाग और नेहरू नगर जैसे इलाकों में बंदरों के झुंड काफी परेशानी पैदा कर रहे हैं और खासकर स्कूली बच्चों के लिए सुरक्षा का खतरा पैदा कर रहे हैं।
