Private bus fares from Delhi-NCR to Bihar have surged significantly ahead of Diwali and Chhath Puja, with some tickets costing up to three times their usual prices. Fares for services on popular routes like Delhi-Patna have risen from ₹840-2,000 to ₹2,500-4,000 for festive dates, with premium services reaching as high as ₹9,999. This sharp increase is attributed to high travel demand during the festive season, leading to the sell-out of lower-priced seats. Similar fare hikes are also being observed on routes connecting Noida to Uttar Pradesh cities.
