IMD Forecasts Heavy Rain in North Coastal Andhra

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for north coastal Andhra Pradesh, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall. A well-marked low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression, expected to reach the coast by Wednesday morning. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam will experience thunderstorms with lightning, accompanied by winds of 40 to 60 kmph.

भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) ने उत्तर तटीय आंध्र प्रदेश के लिए ऑरेंज अलर्ट जारी किया है। बंगाल की खाड़ी में बने कम दबाव के क्षेत्र के गहराने से अवसाद (depression) बन गया है, जो बुधवार सुबह तक तट पर पहुँच सकता है। तटीय आंध्र प्रदेश और यानम में 40 से 60 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार वाली हवाओं के साथ बिजली गिरने की आशंका है।
