BJP Cites Congress MPs on UPI MDR Framework

The BJP has questioned Rahul Gandhi's opposition to the new MDR framework, citing that five Congress MPs were part of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance that recommended it. The committee, which included former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, adopted the report without dissent. The panel had urged a tiered MDR framework for UPI to ensure financial sustainability and prevent over-reliance on subsidies, warning that delays could threaten investments.
