The Indian Navy is pursuing advancements in all operational domains, from air and sea to artificial intelligence and quantum technology, to evolve into a multi-domain network force. Vice-Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar stated that the navy is focused on adopting new technologies and enhancing operational capabilities. Recent global conflicts have highlighted the need for incorporating autonomous systems and AI in warfare. The navy's Operation Urja Suraksha has also been instrumental in safely escorting ships through critical sea lanes amidst ongoing crises.
