Navy Sailor Arrested for Leaking Classified Data to Pakistani Operative

A 31-year-old Indian Navy sailor, Pradeep Mukherjee, has been arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police for allegedly leaking classified maritime information to a Pakistani intelligence operative. Mukherjee, who joined the Navy in 2014 and is posted with the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam, was apprehended on October 3 while undergoing training in Coimbatore. Preliminary investigations suggest he met a female Pakistani operative on social media a few months ago, who then developed a relationship with him and obtained sensitive information.
