Yadgir Bandh Threat Over Water Crisis If Govt. Fails To Act

Former Minister Narasimha Naik has warned of a Yadgir Bandh on November 6 if the state government does not resolve the water crisis by November 5. Standing crops across thousands of acres are at risk of withering due to the stoppage of water supply to the Narayanpur Left and Right Bank Canals. Naik criticized the current irrigation schedule, stating that the water release extension until November 12 is insufficient for crucial crops like paddy and cotton.

पूर्व मंत्री नरसिम्हा नाइक ने चेतावनी दी है कि अगर राज्य सरकार ने 5 नवंबर तक जल संकट का समाधान नहीं किया तो 6 नवंबर को यादगीर बंद किया जाएगा। हजारों एकड़ में खड़ी फसलें नारायणपुर लेफ्ट और राइट बैंक नहरों में पानी की आपूर्ति रुकने से सूखने के कगार पर हैं। नाइक ने वर्तमान सिंचाई कार्यक्रम की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि 12 नवंबर तक पानी छोड़ने की अवधि धान और कपास जैसी महत्वपूर्ण फसलों के लिए अपर्याप्त है।
