SIT Report Clears KSU Activists in Former Minister Veena George Case

SIT has submitted its final report to the court, stating that charges against Kerala Students Union (KSU) activists in connection with an alleged attack on former Health Minister Veena George cannot be sustained. The SIT concluded that waving black flags, as done by the protesters at Kannur railway station, does not constitute a criminal offense. The investigation found no evidence of rioting, wrongful restraint, or obstruction of public servants. The report also noted that protesters had valid platform tickets, making trespassing charges unsustainable.

SIT ने कोर्ट में अपनी अंतिम रिपोर्ट पेश की है, जिसमें कहा गया है कि पूर्व स्वास्थ्य मंत्री वीणा जॉर्ज पर कथित हमले के संबंध में केरल स्टूडेंट्स यूनियन (KSU) के कार्यकर्ताओं के खिलाफ आरोप नहीं टिक सकते। SIT ने निष्कर्ष निकाला कि कन्नूर रेलवे स्टेशन पर प्रदर्शनकारियों द्वारा काले झंडे लहराना कोई आपराधिक अपराध नहीं है। जांच में दंगा, गलत तरीके से रोकना या लोक सेवकों को बाधित करने का कोई सबूत नहीं मिला। रिपोर्ट में यह भी कहा गया है कि प्रदर्शनकारियों के पास वैध प्लेटफॉर्म टिकट थे, जिससे अतिक्रमण के आरोप टिक नहीं सकते।
