Despite a global hiring slowdown and layoffs in the tech sector, India's job market has remained relatively strong compared to other major economies. A report indicates that while overall job postings in India decreased by 5% in Q2 2026 year-on-year, this decline was less severe than in countries like France (40%) or the US (23%). However, entry-level and junior positions saw a significant drop of 11%. Demand for AI talent continues to rise globally, while traditional corporate functions experienced hiring dips.
