Sohna Highway Sinkhole Opens 8th Time Since 2023; NHAI Seeks Permanent Fix

A section of the Sohna highway in Gurgaon has collapsed again, forming an 8th sinkhole since 2023 and occurring just two months after previous repairs. The recurring issue is attributed to a damaged 1,800 mm master sewer line beneath the road, allowing continuous leakage. NHAI has cordoned off the area and is implementing a permanent solution using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology.

गुरुग्राम में सोहना हाईवे का एक हिस्सा फिर से धंस गया है, जिससे 2023 के बाद 8वां सिंकहोल बन गया है और यह पिछली मरम्मत के सिर्फ दो महीने बाद हुआ है। इस बार-बार होने वाली समस्या का कारण सड़क के नीचे 1,800 मिमी की मास्टर सीवर लाइन का क्षतिग्रस्त होना है, जिससे लगातार रिसाव हो रहा है। एनएचएआई ने इलाके को सील कर दिया है और क्योर-इन-प्लेस पाइप (CIPP) तकनीक का उपयोग करके एक स्थायी समाधान लागू कर रहा है।
