Jharkhand Identifies Five Carbon Credit Projects To Monetise Green Schemes

Jharkhand's forest, environment, and climate change department has identified five government schemes across five departments for potential carbon credit projects. These initiatives aim to help departments and rural communities monetise ongoing carbon-reduction efforts. Schemes selected include the Mukhyamantri Jan Van Yojana, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, compressed biogas generation, solar mini-grids, and NABARD's WADI schemes. Discussions were held on mobilising carbon finance through agroforestry and land restoration, with the goal of generating verified carbon credits and additional income for communities.

झारखंड के वन, पर्यावरण और जलवायु परिवर्तन विभाग ने संभावित कार्बन क्रेडिट प्रोजेक्ट के लिए पांच विभागों की पांच सरकारी योजनाओं की पहचान की है। इन पहलों का उद्देश्य विभागों और ग्रामीण समुदायों को चल रहे कार्बन-घटाने के प्रयासों से कमाई करने में मदद करना है। चुनी गई योजनाओं में मुख्यमंत्री जन वन योजना, बिरसा हरित ग्राम योजना, कंप्रेस्ड बायोगैस उत्पादन, सौर मिनी-ग्रिड और NABARD की WADI योजनाएं शामिल हैं। एग्रोफोरेस्ट्री और भूमि बहाली के माध्यम से कार्बन वित्त जुटाने पर चर्चा हुई, जिसका लक्ष्य सत्यापित कार्बन क्रेडिट और समुदायों के लिए अतिरिक्त आय उत्पन्न करना है।
