Banke Bihari Temple Bans Throwing Prasad, Cites 'Punishable' Act

The famous Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan has put up a notice prohibiting devotees from throwing prasad, such as sweets or pedas, towards the deity. The board states this act is 'punishable,' sparking debate about temple management and devotee faith. A High Power Committee member, Himanshu Goswami, questioned the व्यवस्था, suggesting it inconveniences devotees. He noted that a reduction in the number of temple attendants, who previously received prasad from devotees and offered it to the deity, may have led to this issue.
