The Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) has finalized plans for 'Gurukul City', a new residential township aimed at promoting planned urban expansion in Gorakhpur. The project, envisioned as the foundation of New Gorakhpur, is slated for launch around Diwali, with the Chief Minister potentially inaugurating it. Initially, the township will span nearly 100 acres, with the full project planned over approximately 400 acres in phases. Located along the Sonauli Road corridor, Gurukul City aims to meet the growing demand for quality housing in the rapidly developing city.
