India and New Zealand's free trade agreement, effective October 20, is set to significantly enhance domestic farm products and processed food exports. Tariffs on items like processed foods, spices, confectionery, and fruit juices will drop to zero immediately. This pact offers Indian exporters, especially in food processing and textiles, a competitive advantage in Oceania. The Trade Promotion Council of India will support MSMEs in leveraging these concessions and meeting standards, integrating Indian value-added agri-products into Indo-Pacific supply chains.

भारत और न्यूज़ीलैंड के बीच मुक्त व्यापार समझौता (FTA), जो 20 अक्टूबर से प्रभावी होगा, घरेलू कृषि उत्पादों और प्रोसेस्ड फूड के निर्यात को काफी बढ़ावा देगा। प्रोसेस्ड फूड, मसाले, कन्फेक्शनरी और फलों के जूस जैसे सामानों पर टैरिफ तुरंत शून्य हो जाएगा। यह समझौता भारतीय निर्यातकों, खासकर फूड प्रोसेसिंग और टेक्सटाइल सेक्टर में, ओशिनिया में एक प्रतिस्पर्धी बढ़त देगा। ट्रेड प्रमोशन काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया MSMEs को इन रियायतों का लाभ उठाने और मानकों को पूरा करने में मदद करेगी, जिससे भारतीय वैल्यू-एडेड कृषि उत्पाद इंडो-पैसिफिक सप्लाई चेन में शामिल हो सकेंगे।
