Ron DeSantis Questions Republican Support For Vivek Ramaswamy In Ohio
Times of India · politics
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has questioned why Republicans backed Vivek Ramaswamy for the Ohio gubernatorial race, suggesting his tech background and views on foreign worker visas alienated blue-collar voters. DeSantis stated that Ohio is a working-class state, and Ramaswamy's support for programs like the H-1B visa would not resonate with its electorate. Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur, lost the election to Democrat Amy Acton. DeSantis believes a candidate more in tune with Ohio's working people would have performed better. Ramaswamy's campaign also faced criticism for an attack ad.
