Hyderabad Traffic Police have registered six criminal cases against motorists using fake, tampered, or unauthorised vehicle registration number plates. This intensified enforcement drive follows a surge in complaints and aims to improve road safety and prevent crime. Multiple vehicles were identified and seized during operations conducted across various police stations in Hyderabad, Warangal, and Sangareddy districts. The police emphasized that only government-approved High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) are legally permitted, and manipulated plates are often used to evade identification and traffic enforcement.
