Three Get Seven Years For Petrol Bomb Attack

A Khargone court has sentenced three men to seven years of rigorous imprisonment for their involvement in arson and vandalism during the April 2022 Ram Navami violence. Iqbal, Munna Sheikh, and Farid Khan were convicted for attacking and setting fire to a complainant's house with petrol bombs. The court also imposed a Rs 5,000 fine on each, with an additional month of imprisonment for non-payment. This marks the first conviction in around 65 cases related to the Khargone violence, with 24 others acquitted.

खरगोन की एक अदालत ने अप्रैल 2022 में राम नवमी के दौरान हुई हिंसा में आगजनी और तोड़फोड़ में शामिल तीन लोगों को सात साल की कड़ी कैद की सज़ा सुनाई है। इक़बाल, मुन्ना शेख और फ़रीद खान को शिकायतकर्ता के घर पर पेट्रोल बम से हमला करने और आग लगाने का दोषी पाया गया। अदालत ने प्रत्येक पर 5,000 रुपये का जुर्माना भी लगाया, और भुगतान न करने पर एक महीने की अतिरिक्त कैद की सज़ा सुनाई। यह खरगोन हिंसा से संबंधित लगभग 65 मामलों में पहली सज़ा है, जबकि 24 अन्य को बरी कर दिया गया है।
