BJP has retained control of all three urban local bodies in Gujarat that held elections on October 11. The party secured 38 out of 44 seats in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation, along with majorities in the Thara and Okha municipalities. While the Congress improved its tally in Gandhinagar, the Aam Aadmi Party failed to win any seats. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attributed the victory to public faith in the BJP's development agenda and pledged continued public service.
