CJI Surya Kant Urges Against Dragging Supreme Court Into Politics Amid Delhi Protests

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has urged that the Supreme Court should not be "dragged into any politics" amidst ongoing protests in Delhi. He emphasized that the court's functioning and the movement of lawyers, staff, and litigants must remain unhindered. While acknowledging the right to protest at designated places, CJI Kant stressed that democratic activities should not obstruct judicial processes.

भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश सूर्यकांत ने आग्रह किया है कि दिल्ली में चल रहे विरोध प्रदर्शनों के बीच सुप्रीम कोर्ट को 'किसी भी राजनीति में नहीं घसीटा जाना चाहिए'। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि अदालत के कामकाज और वकीलों, कर्मचारियों और मुकदमों के पक्षकारों की आवाजाही निर्बाध रहनी चाहिए। नामित स्थानों पर विरोध करने के अधिकार को स्वीकार करते हुए, सीजेआई कांत ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि लोकतांत्रिक गतिविधियों से न्यायिक प्रक्रियाओं में बाधा नहीं आनी चाहिए।
