Former JNU Students’ Union president Aishe Ghosh has been selected for the 2026 Prof. V. Aravindakshan Award. The award recognizes her significant contributions to student movements and her activism in social and political spheres. Ghosh was chosen for her resistance to religious nationalism and communal fascism that threaten India's democratic values. The award, which includes ₹50,000, a plaque, and a citation, will be presented on October 17 in Thrissur.
