The Pentagon has swiftly redeployed US bombers from RAF Fairford in the UK following new threats of a plot linked to Iran. American warplanes had been using the base for operations against Iran since late February. The withdrawal moves critical equipment from Europe's preferred forward operating base for bombers, though personnel remain prepared for global strikes. The UK's Defense Secretary indicated Iran was likely responsible for a thwarted attack attempt, after a British-Iranian dual national was arrested.
