Lucknow Municipal Corporation Uses Drones For Post-Flood Sanitation Drive

Following receding floodwaters in Lucknow, the Municipal Corporation has launched a sanitation drive to combat mosquito breeding and prevent infections. Drones are being deployed to spray anti-larval chemicals across 80 acres in two zones, targeting hard-to-reach areas. The civic body is also intensifying efforts to remove sludge, clear drains, and disinfect affected localities. Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar has directed officials to accelerate desilting and prioritize measures to reduce the risk of vector-borne diseases. The operation aims to ensure public health and prevent the spread of illnesses after the floods.

लखनऊ में बाढ़ का पानी कम होने के बाद, नगर निगम ने मच्छरों के पनपने से रोकने और संक्रमण से बचाव के लिए एक सफाई अभियान शुरू किया है। दो ज़ोन में 80 एकड़ में एंटी-लार्वा केमिकल छिड़कने के लिए ड्रोन तैनात किए जा रहे हैं, ताकि उन जगहों तक पहुंचा जा सके जहां पहुंचना मुश्किल है। नागरिक निकाय मलबा हटाने, नालियों को साफ करने और प्रभावित इलाकों को कीटाणुरहित करने के प्रयासों को भी तेज कर रहा है। नगर आयुक्त गौरव कुमार ने अधिकारियों को गाद निकालने की प्रक्रिया में तेजी लाने और वेक्टर-जनित बीमारियों के जोखिम को कम करने के उपायों को प्राथमिकता देने का निर्देश दिया है।
